Acro dance (short for acrobatic dance) is a unique style that fuses traditional dance with tumbling and gymnastics-inspired tricks. Think beautiful choreography—plus cartwheels, backbends, aerials, walkovers, and more!
Unlike gymnastics, acro dance is performed without mats, so we emphasize technique, control, and safe progressions. It’s perfect for dancers who love to flip, fly, and stand out on stage. Learn more!
Start Your JourneyFrom core muscles to upper body control, acro builds total-body strength that supports powerful movement and clean technique on stage.
Acro encourages safe stretching and mobility, helping dancers increase flexibility over time—perfect for all dance styles and injury prevention.
Through handstands, walkovers, and other tricks, students sharpen their sense of balance and develop excellent body control.
Unlike gymnastics, acro is grounded in dance, so students learn how to blend tricks seamlessly into choreography with flow and expression.
Learning new acrobatic skills in a safe, encouraging space boosts self-esteem and teaches dancers to trust themselves and take healthy risks.
Kids love acro because it’s exciting, challenging, and just plain fun! It keeps students engaged while building important physical skills.
Each Acro class starts with a full-body warm-up to ensure students are physically prepared and reduce the risk of injury. From there, dancers move into skill-building drills, traveling movements, and choreography practice.
Ages 3-8: Introduction to basic acro techniques, focusing on fundamentals, coordination, and musicality in a fun, encouraging environment.
Acro I & Acro II: Building on foundation skills with more complex combinations, introducing intermediate techniques and performance skills.
Acro III: Advanced technique development & complex choreography.
Proper dance attire is essential for safety and optimal movement.
